Please read the following Rules & Regulations carefully before filling up the online application form.

Eligibility

Participants

Directors/ Producers of Asian countries can apply for the Workshop Programme in the participant category with a project proposal that he/ she wants to develop, discuss and pitch in the forum.

Observers

Any director/ producer/ student can apply to attend the workshop in the observer category. An observer can participate in pitch labs and projects clinics. Incomplete forms (see the online application form for details) or applications received after the cut-off date will not be eligible for selection.

Entry Fees

The fees structure for participation in docedge’ 08 is classified into the following categories.

Application Processing Fee:

Participant Category: INR 1000 (Euro 20) (non-refundable)
Observer Category: INR 500 (Euro 10) (non-refundable)

The Application Processing Fee should be sent by post or hand delivered to the address given below by Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata only after duly filling and submitting the online application form. Please quote the application system generated ID at the back of the DD.

Online application closes on 30th November '07.
The deadline of receipt of application processing fee plus the preview DVD is 5th December ’07.

Admission Fee:

Participant Category: INR 6000 (Euro 120) (non-refundable)
Observer Category:INR 1000 (Euro 20) (non-refundable)

Once selected, the candidates will be notified by email within 25th December '07 and then only need to pay the above fee as applicable to confirm their participation in the Workshop.

The Admission Fee should be sent by post or hand delivered to the address given below by Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata. Please quote the system generated application ID at the back of the DD.

Selected candidates should confirm their attendance by email / phone latest by 2nd January '08.

The deadline of receipt of admission fee is 2nd January ‘08, failing which the incumbent’s selection will be automatically cancelled.

Submission & Deadline

Each application has to accompany with the necessary application-processing fee within the due date else it will be rendered incomplete and will not be eligible for selection.

Each application in the participant category needs to provide specified information within the text input areas of the Online Application Form

1.	Short Synopsis of the project	within 60 words only
2.	Synopsis of the project	600 words
3.	Treatment Note	1200 words
4.	Tentative Budget Breakdown in Euro	Check Sample Budget Page Here
5.	CV of the Director / Producer (Please Attach Run On CV)	within 600 words
6.	4-minute clips of on-going projects/previous work	(Send DVD only)
7.	Production Company Profile	within 200 words

All the above information are to be provided within the specified text input areas of the Online Application Form, strictly adhering to the designated word limit failing which the Form will not be accepted by the system.

Selection

A panel of EDN experts will select the workshop participants from the list of completed entries based on the applicant’s profile and by the merit of the submitted proposals. The decision of the panel has to be considered final and no queries or explanations of any kind can be sought in this regard whatsoever.

Only the selected candidates will be notified by email on receipt of which they need to confirm their candidature by sending the fees as applicable. Fees not received within the mentioned cut-off dates will automatically cancel the candidate’s selection.
